Service Description

Our SEN-focused Story Box sessions are shorter, slower-paced, and highly interactive, designed for children who need extra support to engage in group activities. Using sensory-rich stories, puppets, props, and AAC tools like signing and symbols, children develop expressive and receptive language, functional communication, conversation skills, and emotional awareness. Small groups allow for personalised support, and teaching assistants join in to receive practical strategies they can use throughout the day. Led by SLTs and SLT Assistants, these sessions boost communication, confidence, and engagement, making them ideal for children with more complex needs or those awaiting specialist placements.
